Account Deactivation & Data Retention
You may deactivate your personal account, and merchants may disable or set their storefront offline. However, Dukancard does not permanently delete account records or associated data from our databases.
As an e-commerce platform, we are obligated to retain transaction records, order histories, payment data, and related business records for legal, regulatory, auditing, and financial-reporting purposes. This includes obligations under tax law, consumer-protection statutes, anti-fraud requirements, and dispute-resolution processes.
Deactivated accounts will no longer appear in public listings or social features, and disabled storefronts will not be discoverable. However, the underlying records are retained in accordance with applicable law and our data-retention schedule. If you have questions about your data, contact us at support@dukancard.com.
Specific retention periods depend on the type of data and the applicable legal requirements. For example, financial and tax records may be retained for 7 years or longer as required by law.

While we strive to protect your information, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your account credentials.
